  1. Hi,

I am able to capture dvd quality (720x480, 5000 cbr) from tv w/ my aver tv tuner card on my 2.4ghz p4 system w/ ata100 100gb drive & 1/2gb ram. The files play fine on windows media player.

When I go to burn the files to dvd in Ulead Movie factory 2, they get all jerky and flicker on TV. Almost like it's too much action. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using a Maxell Dvd -RW.

Could this have anything to do w/ the dvd burner firmware pioneer 105? Or hard drive not fast enough (maybe go to ATA133)? Or the multiplexing in Ulead Movie Factory2? Or Dvd-rw media? Am I missing anything that I can set during conversion?

I'm been working on this for about a week and am still running into problems. When capturing the processor is not even maxed out.

Any insigths would be most helpful.

    Thanks and peace,

    John

Before you start blameing your hardware you should try your project on different software, one from a different mfg. so then you can compare the results.

  3. I'm not blaming the equipment. I have no doubt the equipment is fine. I'm thinking it's some setting w/in Ulead that is causing this. I'm capturing from Power VCR II b/c capturing from Ulead is horrible.

If anyone else is having this problem w/ Ulead Movie Factory 2 and know how to get around it, I would appreciate any insight you would have.

    Thanks,

    John

  4. check the vob files using power dvd .this will show if they are jerky etc ,you cant trust it 100% but if its jerky in the same places it will prove it is the source file thats the problem .also i have seen this stuff before ,my dad had some media he was unsure of ,it really does make a difference .go for a good make like verbatim etc .
    hope this helps

  5. I had a similar problem. Capturing mpg files via Creative digital VCR. Tried to use Movie Factory 2 to convert and got a flicker about every 3 seconds even though the sound played fine. I called Ulead support and the guy played dumb and said "maybe you should try our VideoStudio software". That didn't really surprise me since it's more expensive. Anyway, I tried the VideoStudio trial version and it fixed the problem. Conversions don't flicker and audio is synced perfectly. Give it a try, you can download the trial version from Ulead's website.
