  1. What codec do I need to view my mpeg files prior to burning.

  6. go to the tools section and download and install the program GSpot, then open up ur mpeg file in that and it'll tell you what codec it is. Then find and download it.

  7. WMP plays MPEG1 files by default. To play MPEG2 files (eg. DVD) you need to install a MPEG2 codec (any software DVD player should do this for you). You can find a free MPEG2 codec for d/load at:

  8. Nothing seems to be solving this problem. It first started when I downloaded Windows Media Player 9, before then it was fine.
