  1. Hello

    I have always wounder this.
Some player plays DVDR+ or DVDR- some plays both. But how does the company that releases the movies if they should release on a + or a -?
Or are they using another format that isnt enable for the pepz?

    Thanks

  2. Published DVD-Videos are of neither format. DVD-R and DVD+R are home user compatible formats. The technology that goes into a purchased DVD-Video is not available to home users.

  3. Actually I was wondering about the same thing. Are we considering here the difference between authoring or general use media ?
Do the companies have the same problem when it comes to media problems or don't they ever have any problem when printing movie. Where do they buy their stuff from if they don't have any coasters...
Where ever you go... there you are...in dvdland

  4. Commercial DVD's, like CD's, are pressed, not burnt. This is done using some very expensive machinery that turns out thousands of copies an hour. The media is really very different from that used for burning.
