  1. Hi everyone I want to cut a DivX movie into 2 parts using VDub, so I load the movie and mark the start and end of a segment, select the divX 4 codec, then choose "save wav", should be simple right? So why does the sound disapear after about one third of the segments total length? And it doesn't matter how large or small I make the segments, the sound always disapear after about one third of the total length??

    Please help me anyone...

  2. If you just want to cut your movie into two, then leave both video and audio at DIRECT STREAM COPY (AVI AUDIO). You should not recompress (or do anything else) with the video and audio stream. It is simple, right.

  3. it might be that the movie you are trying to cut contains sound codecs not supported by virtual dub.

use the direct stream copy with nandub instead. if that's the problem, then it will work

  4. incorrect codings could cause troubles, i export the wav, then (as i'm going to mpeg vcd anyway) use tmpgenc to 'assamble' the parts
