I have a .ogm file that I want to convert to DVD .mpg file, but TMPGenc won't recognize it. I have installed the Xvid codec. Is this the only codec I need to install? I couldn't find this situation in any of the guides. Also, what do I use to play the .ogm file on my computer? Will Windows Media Player play it? It crashes every time I try.

    Thanks in advance.

Rename the OGM to AVI and see if TMPGEnc takes it. If not, load the AVI into AVI Decompress or Virtual Dub MOD and export the video was a direct stream and the audio as uncompressed. TMPGEnc will be more agreeing now.

Okay, I open the .ogm file in Virtualdub mod, and it parses the .ogm file. When I go to save the .wav file, however, it tells me "No Input audio stream to extract". Am I doing something wrong (obviously!) What do I need to do in Virtualdub Mod to get it to extract the audio to a .wav file?

    Thanks for the help.

  4. Sorry about that, seems as though Virtual Dub MOD can only demux the OGG from the OGM, not decompress it. Unless there is a way that I haven't tried. I mainly use AVI Decompress for these situations, if you drop me an email I can send it to you. It's a very small program.

  5. install the latest ogg codecs, open the movie with
goldwave and save the audio to wav now open
    with tmpgenc.

  6. use this program: http://legoman666.netfirms.com/decompress.zip to decompress the audio to PCM, TMPGEnc might recognize it then.
Time's not wasted when you're wasted all the time.
