DVD Ripping Programs!!

Hello I have been using DVDDecrypter for ages now and I was just wonder what DVD ripping program other people use and why you use it.

I use DVddecrypter for dvd to dvd-r's. For my cvd stuff, I use the program that is used in dvd2svcd. I was using claddvdXP or whatever it is, but got tired of the stupid thing expiring all the time.

At the moment none of the above: I use vobcopy, as I've taken a forage into LinuxLand! Good Lord, are Windows users spoiled with all kinds of pointandclick packages!

At the present time I use cladXP to rip. I have used that to rip since I started ripping.

I burn with decrypter though and I have started ripping a little bit with decrypter from time to time.

I use dvdxcopy and there have been only 2 movies that messed up, The Green mile, it plays straight thru with no problems as long as u dont use the menu and LED ZEPP THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME it just errored at the end of the movie but plays fine. I see though that movies with episodes sometimes wont copy because it wont split an episode thus making some too large to copy on the second disk. I used dvd decrypter and it works great but when i use nero (latest demo) to burn I find my copies are less likely to play on some players. So whats the best burning program out there thats gonna work on the most players (stand alone)

Great question! I mainly use CladDVDXP. I started using this because I believe it was the first program (I found) that would let me select PGCs and rip an entire movie to a single VOB. Since then, newer releases of other ripping programs allow the same options but I still mainly use this program because it works faster than the others on my system.

I also use DVD Decrypter and Smartripper because once in a while CladXP may choke on a rip that either Smartripper or DVD Decrypter will sail through.

ALWAYS keep your options open!
