  1. I won a copy of ACID Pro 4.0 in a contest. It said that you would be able to create 5.1 DD mixes. However, it turns out that you need a $399 plug-in from Sonic Foundry to encode AC3. Either that, or a "compatible third-party encoder."

After playing with the software for a while, I think that the only output option that ACID gives is 6 Mono WAV files.

Is there any way to create 5.1 DD from these 6 Mono WAV files? I remember BeSweet having an option to make AC3 files, but I think it only works for stereo, at most.

Is there any way to store 5.1 DD information into one WAV (or similar type) audio file? Or is there a way to turn the 6 Mono WAVs into a Dolby Surround (Pro-Logic) stereo file, so that I could maybe at least get Dolby 2.0 Surround?

I was very lucky to win the ACID software. I have some film projects I'd love to mix in 5.1 for DVD, but I have no money at the moment.

Well, thanks for any help you all can provide.
