  1. Hi,

Does only WIN98 SE supports Firewire? I' ve got only WIN98, original edition, so do I need to update to WIN98SE or is there any driver or dll to download to enable WIN98 original for Firewire?
    thx

  2. Yes, unfortunately most of the firewire cards out there require win 98 se. you can get the upgrade for about $28 from Microsoft if you already own win 98.

  3. You could also upgrade to windows ME, if you can't find a 98 SE upgrade in your area.

  5. Hi Riot_Inc,

  6. Whatever you do please do not use Win ME! MAny including myself have found it to be unstable video-wise. Use either Win 98 SE, Win 2k or wait and try Win XP. Those who have pretested the working versions of XP state it is a great video supporter and a very stable system.
