Sorry there isnt any software for the mac to do this the playstation movies are pss files ther are pc programs that can do this the easiest way is to hook your ps2 though your vcr and record it then run it in through a usb capture device to your mac

Very true I siad it that way since you can save parts that you really want before you transfered it to your computer but you can edit the files once there on your computer also I see your point.

I said it that way since all my equipment is firewire and I have a digital video camera that is firewire and I couldnt hook my PS2 directly into my mac but I can hook it directly to my VCR. I could have hooked my ps2 up to my digital video camera but I prefer a TV to a 3in screen for previewing my work prior to editing

If you have the right equipment ps2 to mac would be the most direct way

So, there is no word on Mac OS X software and/or there will never be one?
When the people make the PS2 games(intro movies included), did they make it into Mpeg2 format and then turn it in to pss?
