  1. Right Ive been using my TV card to capture some VHS tape and the results have not been good, so I wanted to ask, is it possible to capture Video using my freinds Panansonic DVD recorder onto DVD-R's and then taking them DVD's and stripping the VOBS using programs like DVD Decrpter, then import them into say Ulead programs (Movie Factory or Workshop)

Anybody ever done anything like this?

Surely it captures DVD Compliant video>?
Verb media and never a problem....

    Yes,
Not as sure about the Panasonic, but I have actually done this with the Pioneer settop recorder (PVR-9000). Works great!

IIWY, I'd use DVD-R's (not RW's or RAM's) and record in DVD-Video mode for the most assured compatibility. Some progs may have trouble with the VR modes.

:P I can capture MPEG-2 quality direct from my set top DVD player through a Dazzle DVC 150. I haven't used this so far for anything but outputting back to a vcr. Why you ask, well I got conned by my mother to put some new stuff on VCR tape because my Aunt won't enter the new world we live in. This is the only device that I have to do this with. Hope that helps.

Sorry I mis-read your post. I see that you were referring to a friends Computer DVD recorder.
