    I'm trying to open a Xvid/avi file with virtualdub and the program says it can't find the codec for Xvid(unknown). This is quit strange cos i have installed the Xvid codec and I can watch the file with Windows Media Player, that means I have the codec installed, right? I can even open other Divx files but not that one. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

    download the latest version of the XviD codec, that might solve your problems....
