  1. Guys,

I have a stack of ACCU's that I had bought from Meritline a few weeks back. When they arrived, I had checked the first one with ADVDinfo: it said ...LD... (I had posted the results in this thread:

Just a few minutes back, I burned a DVD, and used one from that stack. Since it was in the drive, I thought: what the heck, let's check it. It says ...SONY... !!!!! So I take the next .... then the next .... and so on .... mostly SONY, some LD, and even one Lead Data in the approx. 15 I checked!!! And I thought they were all LD! It seems totally random, and all the discs look identical ..... So checking just one or two in an order does not do it - it seems.

  2. schildi, that is interesting, and I had read one other person about two months ago exerienced the same thing. They had a mix of BOTH SONY and LD in the same batch. You should be happy because the SONY are definitely better disks, hands down!

I don't know how many disks you have, but I would personally check each of them and seperate the LD from the SONY, that way "IF" a burn error occurs, or a playback issue arises, you'll know which of the two disks it occured on. I've tested those LD's and for the most part they are good, but they are definitely more sensitive then the SONY, so it's good that they aren't LD for you. 8)

  3. I am in the process of transferring my home videos from the last 10 years (VHS) to DVD, so I have been burning quite a few discs in the last few weeks since I bought the DRU. I have used ACCU, Ritek, and Dupez - and have not had a problem with any of them. Actually - I don't see much of a difference.

    Hey,

Im doing the same thing with the movies of me as a little kid (1987-1998). I am using the Panasonic DMR-E30. I started recording them all with Princo, but after hearing about the data loss I am copying all those to Ritek G03 just to be on the safe side.
