    I have various problems

    1. When I try to convert a Xvid file into Vcd, it freezes the picture after a while. And some times an error message, xvid.dll or another .dll file is causing TMPG to crash.

2 I do have all the Codecs installed, I am using the Guides to convert. I have tried everything.

3,, What I NEED; A complete idiotproof guide on how to install codecs, wich one first, should all be in the same folder, should I install codec first then TMPG, which encoder is the easyest to use. Not five progz before I get my movie done. I have all the software I want. But I dont know how.

    4. My biggest problem is the freezing of the movie. Is there any way to solve this, is there a Prog to use to correct the file.

    5. All my files are Xvid/Avi/DivX. Earlier(before a Format & new installation) I could convert movies without any problems.

    6. WhAt I Need to know is which version of all programs I need and a really IDIOTPROOF How-To-Do-And-Install-And-All-That

  2. First check the integrity of your source file. Play it on your PC and see if it is corrupted in any way. Then try an uncorrupted file.

If this doesn't work, try installing TMPGEnc before installing your codecs

If this still does not work, you might have to change some settings in TMPGEnc regarding inverse telecine.

This is what you should do:

After starting TMPGEnc, close the wizard and click options, environmental setting...
Then choose the last tab (VFAPI plugin).
Here you will find a list of various plugins installed.
Look for the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader. Behind it there is a value (-1 for default) Change this value by right-clicking on the value field.
Choose higher priority. Now you will see, that the value is 0. Do this again, so the value will be 1. Click "OK" and try to convert your file again.
If the file does need the inverse telecine setting, it will start to recalculate your file before converting to MPEG.

I hope this will help you.
