    Hi
    I have riped many dvds before but for some strange reason my dvdrom are only ripping at 2x now.

    Some one please help

    Try this. Go into device manager and remore the primary host controller for you hard drive controller. REboot, after it redects and stuff try again, that usually works for me.

    What DVD drive are you ripping with? MANY DVD-/+RW drives are locked at reading commercial DVDs at 2x. The Sony DRU-500A (or any variation) is definitely one.

    i am using a liteon dvdrom for the ripping

    my drive is still ripping at 2x
