    very wierd audio
    i just made a vcd of an xvid(gangs of new york)
    and now the audio is all messed
    how do i corect it

    ok
    i used TMPGEnc
    and i made a ntscfilm non standard vcd/xvcd with a bitrate of 1210 and audio bitrate of 160 and at 44100

    and i framserverd the vieo from vdub

    the movie is gangs of new york and the audio is like not in synch at all with the video

    Okay. Did you scan for bad frames first using Virtualdub?

    i never do
    and the one time i did there was tons of bad frames but no messed up synch audio

    Yes, sometimes the source has so many bad frames that removing them will wreck it. Unfortunately, leaving them in results in all kinds of problems. The encoder can crash or freeze and/or the resulting mpeg can have the A/V out of sync. Bottom line: Scan and remove the bad frames if you want good results, it's the most likely cause of your problems.
