  1. Hello,
I have three issues I need assistance with. One of them is I have ripped 2 movies to my hd, one of them is signs and the other is Sweet home alabama. I had made the mistake of deleting some of the files in the sweet home alabama so here is what I have left...
    Video_ts.bup
    Video_ts.ifo
    Vts_01_0.bup
    Vts_01_0.ifo
    Vts_01_001.Log
Plus all of the VOB files.
Is there anyway that I can burn this movie with the files here? The total file size is 5.92 GB so I am guessing is has to be split. Taking the end credits will not cut that much off of the size.
My second question is.. with Signs. I have ripped it and have all the files to it. I saw that several people had cut the end credits off and it would fit to one DVD, but for some reason when I did it, it didn't quite cut off enough of the file size, any ideas? Maybe on how to cut the beginning credits?
My last question ( sorry for typing so much ) is that I have encoded some movies that I have downloaded, the video quality is pretty good with the exception that when there is a lot of movement it's sort of breaks up some, but my question is that the sound quality has like a computerized sound I guess would be the way to describe it.... like almost a slightly distorted sound. I have encoded the just the movie and tried better quality sound encoders, but then I can't seem to merge the files for the sound and the video to be in sync. Once again, sorry for all the questions, just hoping someone out there knows what to do. Thanks !!

Hi! A little more information would be helpful. What software do you have? For example, if you ifoedit, for Sweet Home Alabama, you should be able to just keep the vob's and use ifoedit to create new ifo's. Ifoedit can be trickey to use, but there are quides on this site. Do you have the capability of stripping audio streams? Sometimes you can save 1/2 gig or so by stripping these. I'm not sure how noobie you are, but there are at least 3 programs worh a look: DVDxCopy, DVD2One, and Instant Copy 7. Hope this helps some.
You create your own reality. Interested in media servers and HTPC? Can we talk?

  3. Hothandiman,
Yes I have IFOedit..... actually I have downloaded a whole bunch of different software. I have created new IFO's but I don't know what program to use to burn it, or how to split it. What is the final format that needs to be on a dvd to watch it on a standalone? I have Instant CD/DVD, I have a NERO demo, I have IFOedit, dvd decrypter, and power dvd. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks

  4. I think you could just use DVD2one and the movie would be on one disc.
