Pausing live TV is an attractive concept, but anytime I try to do it the result is un-viewable. I have the Radeon 8500DV AIW. When I built my PC, the Athlon XP 1800+ was one of the fastest chips available and the 8500DV was the latest and greatest from ATI. I've been completely satisfied with the card and the entire rig I built last January, but it has always bugged me that I can't really pause live TV. I know Tivo and Replay TV do it, but what kind of horsepower would I need to do it on my PC?

Well, if you mean the default capture settings, I've tried quite a few and never have any problem with dropped frames. What setting do you think I should use? My problem is just when I pause live TV and then resume a few minutes later, the video and audio is very very jumpy.
