Hi folks,
Need your help. I am planning to by a ADVC-100 but I need to know if ADVC-100 can bypass the macrovision found in PAL VHS.
I know from the various post on this site that it does bypass macrovision in NTSC VHS. But nobody has mentioned PAL VHS.
I found one post which said that "it might not be possible for PAL VHS"
Can somebody please help in resolving this issue.
I currently have an ATI AIW 128 capture card on Windows XP. Unfortunately that cannot bypass macrovision.
Regards
Jinu

Yep it does work for PAL, I had to use it to capture a 'non-rippable & barely playable' Disney DVD. Even on the menu, the macro brigtness/colour variation was very apparent. I hooked up my old capture card's video input to the advc's video output to check when the test pattern bars had disappeared (whilst pressing the manual input select button), then captured via the firewire sans macro.
Movie only DVD9 to DVDR guide.
