Yeah, virtualDub seems to create audio sync issues when opening certain mpeg files.
The raw mpegs themselves do NOT have any issues with audio sync, but I noticed that once I opened the files using vDub(mpeg2 compatible), then problems would arise with the audio no longer in sync with the video.
Anyone know why this happens?
I'm guessing something goes wrong in the "parsing interleaved video" process that occurs right when you choose to open the mpeg in vDub.
I find this strange because it only seems to happen on certain files.
By the way, I'm encoding the mpeg into divx, but that should NOT be the problem because I check for the sync issues using the preview provided by the input file (not the output file that is the result of compression).
What's going on here?
Is there anyway I can get around this problem?
