The trials of being a newbie are really starting to take their toll!!

I am trying to convert SVCD to DVD and I have encountered a number of problems with the tools that I am using to do it.

Firstly, I tried converting the MPEG2 files on Ulead DVD Movie Factory, but this kept the aspect of the film the same, i.e. letterbox and I need it to be full screen. Other than that and the time it takes, everything else was perfect.

After looking on the forum, I decided to use DVD2AVI & TMPGEnc, but while I have the picture size I want, the sound cuts out after 10 minutes or so.

So, is there a way to change the aspect of the picture on DVD Movie Factory or can you advise what I should be doing with TMPGEnc. Of course, if there is an all singing & dancing tool I could be using, let me know!
