    Ive been hearing talk that it is possible to burn a dvd on a cd writer, requireing a mod to it maybe, has any one else heard of this???

    all it is that they are selling is instructions (or possibly even a program) to convert to VCD. like we haven't done that before.
    Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.

    well you can burn a dvd on cds it will just take like 6 cds to do it to maintain quality.

    I wouldn't call that "burning a DVD on a CD writer" (see first post). More like making a Compact-DVD (CDVD), which most players can't play.
