I've notice recently that if you type in certain search terms (when doing a forum search) that no results are found even though I know there are a billion topics for those terms. Type in 'DV' as a search term to see what I mean.
Also, it seems that numbers that have decimal points aren't searchable either. Try 'MMC 8.1' and then try 'MMC'. You'll get no results for 'MMC 8.1' but then you'll get a bunch of results that contain MMC 8.1 for 'MMC'
I don't know if this is a bug or I'm just being a idiot and not doing something correctly.

You can't search for terms shorter than 3 characters. So you cant search for dv or 8.1(8.1 is actually counted as two terms because . splits words).
I could change so you can search on everything but then I would have to get a new server that only handles forum searches.
I thought that google would crawl and index our forum so you could use that but it wouldn't. But I now hope that google will find our forum archive and google it so you can search for topics(only topics older than about month though).
