I have a DVD-ROM in my g/f's computer and I wanted to find out what the speed is before I take her computer apart and put it in mine.
I know it's an LG, but that all I know, is there a program that can tell me what the model is even the speed

If the PC is Windows based, go to Device Manager and look up the model of the DVD ROM, then you can go to manufacturer's web site and get the specs.
