Hello All.
I attempted to reformat a dvd-ram disc originally recorded on an Panasonic DMR-e30 on a PC drive (Matsushita LF-D521) to see if it would be quicker. Well, it certainly was quick! Just a minute or two and it was finished. I was quite impressed.
I should have known better. After putting the disc back in the DMR-E30, it keeps saying the disc needs to be formatted properly before recording. Of course, trying to record give a "Formatting is failed." error. That's what I get for trying to take a shortcut.
My question is: has anyone run into this situation and should I say "sayonara" to this disc? Can it be rescued? I have others so it would not be the greatest of losses, but 4.whatever gigs of re-recordable is nothing to blow off lightly.
Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...
