Which TMPEG template should I use?

I plan on using the frame rate control and frame serving in VDub to change from 29.97 to 23.97 fps and was wondering which template to use. I noticed that when I tried using the NTSC Film template, it started doing an inverse telecine but VDub was already doing that. Do I go into the settings and uncheck the inverse filter in TMPEG? Will it work if I do that and encode to 23.97? Thanks.

If you've already IVTC your video in VirtualDub, use the FILM template in TMPGenc. It will have all of the settings preset for you.

Make sure your input file for TMPGenc is 23.976 frames per second.
