  1. I have a DVD that I want to copy, but when I look at it in DVDX, there is onLy 1 chapter and it is a 950 MB file. So, I can't split it up and put it on a VCD like I want to. I am new to all of this, so is there a way to split it up when I encode it or is this just an impossibility to do? Also, I don't know how to use the search function here, I tried but I always get no results.
It's not an original, it's some tv shows that someone recorded onto a dvd. I bought them from someone and now that I have them I figured out that my DVD player won't play copied DVD's, only VCD's. So, I want to make some VCD's so that I can at least watch them on my TV. It's only 1 large 950 or so MB file though so I can't split it into chapters, and this is my first time at trying any of this so I really don't know what I am doing.

  3. Thanks alot, I really appreciate people like you, you are so nice. I wish I could be just like you. Wow, what a guy. If only the rest of the world were so helpful. I know there is a ton of info on this site, but there is so much, for me at least, it's too much. I can't get started with this because I am having trouble finding the answer to this question.

    Thank you so much,

    Matt

  4. how long is the movie? there are a bunch of ways to do it. you could encode to video using tmpgenc so the whole movie could fit on one cd but i don't know how long the movie is. if its under 80 minutes then great. some dvd players can't play non standard vcds. if it dose play non standard vcds and you would like it done fast then split the movie in half and burn. i normally use Ordix Mpack Professional (can get that at www.cnet.com )to splt and combine mpegs and i use nero to burn.
