  1. I just ripped and IFOEdited'ed Signs, its only 14 MB over the DVD-R limit, is there a way to cutout the ending credits or something so i can burn it? Or perhaps overburning, anything, i could never get reencoding to work on my computer.

    TIA!

  3. If you used IFOEdit then you know that you have to select the vob IDs that contain the main movie. But normally those IDs contain more than just the 'movie runtime' there are studio watermarks at the beginning and credits at the end.

    I would load the VOB files in DVD2AVI then scroll through the main movie to determine the VOB IDs that you need, then run IFOEdit again.

  4. Actually, funny you ask. I copied Signs just the other day, and I had the same problem. I actually took out the beginning credits, as it's just that big blue circle with the names and the eerie music for like 2 minutes. It put me just under the 4.7 mark. I don't remember exactly how I did it, but I recall that each chapter on the movie had a separate VOB ID, so that should make it pretty straightforward. Just leave out the first VOB ID when you're stripping with IFOEdit, and make sure that first chapter you're leaving out ends at the 00:02:xx mark, about 2 minutes into the film.

  5. I ripped the PAL version of Signs and it did not have to cut anything...

    IfoEdit -> Prassi PrimoDVD 2.0 -> DVD-R 8)

    you could also try Chopper or ChopperXP (or VobEdit) and just cut out that section of the .vob file.
