Short DVD project to a CD-R?

Hi,

I have a very short video project that I want ot either put to SVCD or DVD onto a CD-R. I know how to do the SVCD but was wondering if I could author a basic DVD menu with one video and burn it to a CD-R. Will it play on my standalone DVD player?

please can you use the search first.
it is called a minidvd. most dvd players cannot play them.

or you could make a non standard svcd.
