Your Mpeg is not a correct VCD

If you used TMPGEnc the load a VCD template and dont change anything.

  3. What/how did you cut your MPEG? I would recommend demuxing in TMPGenc, and then cutting with bbMPEG.

Letmeinforgodsake - you can make changes to the standard VCR template and have your VCDs play, IF your stand alone supports xVCD (which most of the newer ones do).

Nobody said you could not, however he has stated "i get an system clock reference not exceptable warning in creat a cd"

Which is the problem with a non standard VCD.

Why would you want to make a non standard VCD anyway ? unless your trying to save disks , sevral people I know share VCD's non standard works on some, Standard VCD's work on all of them....

  5. The "system clock reference" error is what happens when Easy CD Creator encounters an MPEG with the incorrect pack size. If it didn't complain about anything else, it means that the MPEG itself has all the correct specs (e.g., bitrate, framesize, etc.)

This can occur after cutting with TMPGEnc if you don't put the setting to "MPEG-1 Video-CD".

Thus, when cutting with TMPGEnc, if you MPEG-1 is fully VCD compliant, you MUST change the setting to "MPEG-1 Video-CD". If you leave it on the default "MPEG-1 Auto", then you will get the above problem.

If you are cutting an XVCD, you can use the "MPEG-1 Video-CD (non-standard)" option.

  6. Thanks, Vitualis, for answering the question very specifically. For me, "MPEG is not a correct VCD" isn't enough to go on. Your mentioning the packet size issue is very helpful. Why "Easy" CD Creator refers to something as nebulous as "system clock reference" makes no sense. It implies something is wrong with your system rather than the file you are trying to add--or something. For creating VCD's/SVCD's, I find NERO to be far superior.
