When i try to convert a file to mpg with TMPGEnc, it gives me this error that says,illegal floatig decimal erro, or something like that. can someone help me and tell me whats wrong and what i should do? thanks.

I've gotten that error when the avi file has a bad spot. Look at the time of the error then play the avi file with media player and see if it freezes at the same point. I usually play it with vdub and if it freezes I save it to that point then skip to the next key frame and save to the end in a different file then join the two files.
