I have Princo white top DVD-Rs and Accu Silver Top DVD-Rs, can I put a CD label on top of them and what is the affect on the disk itself and playback in set top players and DVD-ROM drives?
Thanks in advance

Hi nyisles. Your letting your noob show. There are some extensive threads on this topic. Use the "search" funtion in the forums, and you will see a TON of posts. The long and short of it is that some people have play back problems when labeling and others do not. For me, labels DO cause problems and make the disk unplayable. I would buy disks that have a protected top (like your white tops) and use a sharpie to label the disk itself. If you are like me, half the fun is making nice labels for the jewel case. JMO

I cannot lable princo becuase they act up with labels stuck to them. I can label ritek no problem. I found out about the princo label issue 10 dvd's too late. I had to reburn them all with new virgin label free copies.
My half ass solution is to label the dvd case pouch where I keep each dvd.
Cut a piece of pie out of the label for the flap.
