I currently go the route of Decrypter (only the VIDEO_TS and the main movie) then IfoEdit (open ifo for main movie/choose audio and subpictures/vob ids that are required) then after that processes I get gt vectors (not sure if that's what it's called cause i'm not in front of the prog). This only produces bup's, ifo's and vob's for the main movie which is fine cause that's all I'm really interested in since I want to keep full video quality of the movie. When i have instances where the movie is something like 3.8gb I would like to try to keep the chapter skip option in the menu of the movie to that I can see where I'm skipping to. Is there a way to set that up in Ifoedit (keep that single menu option when IfoEdit has finished processing).
Thanks

Pretty please. I beg you. I'm starting to run into alot of movies with room enough for the menu vob. I'd like to keep the funtionality of the scene selection in menu if at all possible and i'm thinking you can do this in IFOEdit.
Thanks -
Okay. I'm not sure if this is a complicated question to answer or what but i really need some advice on this. I finally made one with the menu/scene selection still working. I followed the guide on doom9.org
http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvdr-guides.htm
Chose Backup Guide then scrtolled down to Strip Unwanted Extras/Basic Guide. I followed steps 1-4 and got a movie to work with the portion of the menu i wanted to save. I was going to write and tell people that I figured it out but I thought I should wait till I make another one and It didn't work the second time. Could someone please help. I'm not sure if something like get vt sectors was missing from the tutorial at certain stages or you never do that till the end. On the first one I only kept the menu and the movie. On the second one that didn't work I decided to keep an extra scene along with the menu and the movie. I'm unaware if that made things more difficult or what. Please help with this subject. If someone has another order in which they accomplish this same task in IFOEdit, other than the one that I followed, I'd appreciate a response. Thanks -
3 posts to yourself, man, u are hurting....
So, how about some H.E.L.P.
To keep your original menu's by the method you are doing, streamripping the unwanted streams out, you need IFOupdate. Notice its IFO UPDATE, not to be confused with IFOedit.
There are tons of guides on keeping your movie only with menu's guides at doom9. This will make a movie only, kill the extras, but the original menu will be intact. If you want to get fancy, you can run Menuedit and remove the buttons on the main menu, so that the jump to the deleted extras is removed. There are other hacks if you become an expert, such as just hacking the video_ts.vob to slide in a cheesy view only menu. I feel it may be a while till you master that.
Have fun.
