Can someone please tell me, if my DRU500AX is set to region 2 can I still burn NTSC discs. Also is there a way to make this drive region free.
Thanks

As far as I know, region code is completely different to video format (NTSC, PAL...) So yes, you can burn NTSC files. The region code is set so you can only play DVDs with the same region code, or no region code at all. The files that you burn have no region code, unless you instruct you DVD authoring & burning program to set a code, but as far as I know, standard DVD+-R media doesn't accept CSS encoding (someone correct me if I'm wrong
).
