Say you are splitting a movie and the movie that you are backing up barely fits onto 2 discs. You go with ifoedit’s choice location of splitting the movie and once it’s done, you notice that when you put all the features and part of the movie onto one disc (my preferred way), the result is too big for one disc.
However, the movie only part on the other disc (the one w/o the extra features) still has some ample space for more movie footage. So, I would split the movie again, choosing another place to split the movie so that disc one would be closer to capacity. I may or may not choose the right location to split and so it becomes a trial and error on getting the right split. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to pick the best location to split the movie the first time, which would max out the capacity on disc 1?
