I rip my dvds using Smartripper and encode them with DVDx. Keep in mind I have never encounted any problems such as this when ripping regular movies. The problem occurs when I rip the majority of my anime. Smartripper seems to perform the ripping portion fine, however, when I open up the file in DVDX, I click "play" just to make sure everything ripped ok. When I do this, every anime I have ripped constantly BLEEPS the audio in and out. Every other 10 seconds the audio pauses as the movie continues. I can only guess the problem forms while ripping, since its already like that when i go to sample it in DVDx.

Do any of you know why this is happening? I really need to get to the bottom of this, as it is preventing me from backing up any of my anime.

  2. I don't know how to fix the problem but why don't you try the demo version of DVD2one and see if that works for you?

    Hi there,
I had the same problem , and just had sucess in getting the sound to be constant and good. Still rip with Smart Ripper. Then go to http://www.dvdripguides.com/dvdmenu.php and follow the instructions 2 & 3 on the "How to Rip a DVD to MPEG1/VCD (UPDATED!)". (It will take DVD2AVI + VFP Plugin and TMPGEncto be downloaded, but they are free and they have links to go to do download them) Then burn it with whatever software you have (I like VCD Easy).
    Good luck to you.
