I want to convert a DIVX file into a format to burn onto a DVDR and have ran into a few problems.

    1. I have 2 DivX files that I need to join together and make a whole film, but Virtualdub doesn't let me add 2/2 onto 1/2 and when I load in 1/2 into virtualdub I get this error:

    2. Both files are ripped from a DVD so the quailty is very high. Is there anyway I can put the 2 files together and make 1 whole film? I have looked at the guide here but hasn't worked, in fact half the settings on there look completely different to the ones I had.

So basically all I wanna do is join together 2 DivX files and burn to DVDR.

    Thanks

  2. yours *.avi files have mp3 sound so you should use virtualdub_mp3freeze to avoid the sync problem
you can encode to mpg-2 (dvd) using tmpeg (try kwag's template) and after merge the 2 *.mpg files to 1 final.mpg as a whole movie

  4. hi
the kwag's template is for tmpeg encoder
you could frameserve from virtualdub and open the *.VDR in tmpeg
then load the template and encode
you should encode the video alone and then the audio also alone to get more speed during encoding process
    sorry the writting
