  1. I'm using DVDx2.1 in order to rip a dvd to SVCD format.
I've put the bitrate at 2520.
The problem is that fast moves in the video results in a lot of blocks.
How do I prevent this blocks in fast videoscenes
(Do i have to lower the bitrate?)

  2. no, lowering the biterate will make it worse. my suggestion is try and use tmpenc to encode svcds.. i found that the most successfull other than CCE. you can see how to do it at http://entiendo.gotnet.net/ . tmpgenc has a setting called motion precision that helps with this problem.

...and try VBR with a high max bitrate, like 500 min, 2000 ave, 3500 max(if your player can take it!)
