.rm video to mpg??? can it be done???

I have some "real" video files .rm

I want to convert them to either an mpg or quicktime file...ANY CONVERTER IDEAS??

this is possible, but it depends heavily on which Real codec is used when it is encoded. Mencoder will in fact convert some real media to .avi files which can be converted to mpeg.

mencoder -ovc lavc -oac pcm /path/to/real.rm -o /path/to/output.avi

If you get an error, then the codec is not compatible with mencoder.

Rule of thumb, Crap in = crap out.

Dont expect anything of good quality.
