  1. Hi!

I have my new BT8x8 card, I installed the BtWincap drivers, I installed my Creative SoundBlaster Live drivers, I installed VirtualDub and the Huffyuv codec.

So I started capturing video, but I cannot choose 48 KHz audio frequency. The highest I can choose is 44.1KHz.

    Anybody can help?

Since I'd like to store my videos on DVD, if I cannot set 48KHz audio, I have to upsample the audio to 48KHz of every captured file.

    Thanks for any help.

    Bye,
    Massi.

Or re-encode the audio to 48hz during video re-encoding.

  4. I tried re-encoding but the quality was not as good as capturing at 48khz.

Any number of OTHER programs allow 48kHz: Video Studio, MMC 7.7 (ATI's own software), etc. You can then import that AVI into VDub for further processing...

Unfortunately, TMPGEnc messes up audio when re-encoding, producing a VERY bad audio on the re-encoded file...

Problem is, when I used the motherboard built-in audio chip, I could capture with VDub at 48KHz with no problem.

Now I have a SB Live, that should be more powerful than the MB built-in audio card, but it doesn't let me capture at 48KHz. Seems like SB drivers don't let you do that...

I have 6 recoded DVDs which say different , there is a guide to using ssrc instead of tmpgencs own if yours is not working , but mine definitely is - all in sync and no apparent degradation either , are you using the HiQ / Slower setting ?

But if you replay the converted 48khz file back through media player it does sound knackered (full of crackles and pops) which is probably the case . I replay mine through PowerDVD and they sound fine and obviously when I play them on my dvd as well .
