    I would like to put two different films (eg. terminator 2 and matrix) on a single dvd-r

    you could use tsunami to re-encode to two 2gig files(too many 2's for my liking then) and just use any authoring prog to make startup menu with chapters, never tried it myself but i can't see why it wouldn't work but don't expect dvd quality from two large films
