can anyone tell me what causes horizontal lines to appear in my finished encodes? it only seems to happen during high motion scenes and not on every encode. i use dvddecrypter, dvd2avi and tmpgenc.

They are possibly interlace lines - do you run a de-interlace filter when you encode?
