burn dvd9 to dvd5 and still keep 80 to 100% video quality

Hey, i just got a burner and i still havent burnt a dvd but i tried following your steps but i get conused, here are my problems. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

1. First off when you do the ifo thing and you wait the 5 minutes for the complaint files do you have to save those files or do you close the program....or do you keep the program open and open up instant copy at the same time???

And if you have to save it how do you i tried and it wouldnt let me save the files

2.In instant copy i have some problems too:

-I dont know what EXACT file im choosing as the source when goign to burn.

I will also say you can use DVDshrink in replace of IC7

If you have DVDshrink installed, and if not you should since its FREE!

go to you folder where you made your Video_TS.ifo
double click that.
DVDshrink will run.
For your Streams,
Video leave at Automatic it will resize your video to the largest it can be for 1DVD.
Example Matrix Reloaded 5455MB resized to 3981MB
For Audio, English is normally first
Example Matrix Reloaded 450MB
So leave 1. Audio checked and uncheck the rest of the Audio boxes if any.

Uncheck all Subpicture.


Go to the Menu bar on top and click the backup Icon.
Save to a folder of your choice.

Then once done burn with your fav. burn software. I use Nero 6

I have got the same results with DVDshrink as ic7.

After more tests with Matrix Reloaded, I will have to agree that ic7 makes a cleaner picture than DVDshrink.
However you can not beat the price of DVDshrink.
I have not used DVD2one and don't plan on to since it's a pay software and if I was going to pay for something then IC7 Does look good for under $50

Also I read that you have to be careful when editing out languages, if the movie has different languages in the actual english version it will then edit those languages too from the English version.

If Instantcopy can has an option to compress only the Main Movie Only, why is it necessary to use ifo edit after you have extracted the dvd files to your HD with dvd decrypter?
