  1. Is it possible at all? I tried making one with the DVD template but Nero knows I don't have a DVD writer so I cannot burn the disc. Do I burn as a VCD but with a DVD-format MPEG with standard compliance turned off?

I've used Nero many times to burn miniDVD. Use the CD template UDF/ISO data. DVD is a UDF/ISO data disk.

So do I use a normal CD data template or do I select VCD and then change the settings to something? Forgive me, I am new to cDVD.

Normal, just be sure you select UDF/ISO mode. I believe it's the bottom icon in the selector.

  5. OK, will try this. I obviously make my MPEG into DVD-MPEG2 format, not SVCD or anything else, and the burn?

I don't think this is gonna work...

I tried burning just the MPEG, and then a disc with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders but neither worked. My Toshiba supports playback of miniDVDs and CDRWs so I do not know why it is not working.

Can you give me full step-by-step instructions of what exactly I have to do in Nero please?
