    Sypnosis:
----: Using Sefy's Ultimate DVD to VCD guide
---> Rip DVD with DVD Decrypter (default settings)
---> Frameserve with DVD2AVI (default from guide)
    ---> Encoding With TPMGEnc to Video-CD NTSC (MPEG-1 352x240 29.97fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps)

Question: I know you can fit 80 min or 807MB on one CDR, But how can you tell if the output file is going to fit? TPMGEnc only shows the Frames and not output file size. Is there a way to tell or a guide to figure this out? I don't want to encode for 6 hours only to find that the file is 810MB, and won't fit.

    Any help would be appreciated.

------> FILES and Sizes (if it helps)
    T_M_of_D AC3 T01 3_2ch 448Kbps 48KHz.wav ---- 904,327KB
    T_M_of_D.d2v ----------------------------------------- 329KB
    VTS_01 - Stream Information.txt--------------------- 1KB
    VTS_01_0.IFO------------------------------------------ 64KB
    VTS_01_1.VOB----------------------------------------- 1,048,574KB
    VTS_01_2.VOB----------------------------------------- 1,048,574KB
    VTS_01_3.VOB----------------------------------------- 1,048,574KB
    VTS_01_4.VOB----------------------------------------- 7,08,546KB

--->TPMGEnc source range for the frames are 0-143681 and at 1:19:00

I know because its 79min it should fit, but I only have EZCD Creator 5 platinum and it's a picky whore if the files too big, even though the time is within limits.

    ANYONE?

Use the Project Wizard. The last page before you start encoding shows the estimated file size.

Also, you may want to try VCDEasy (freeware) for authoring your VCDs instead of EZCD Creator.

  3. A Little Addon: when burning full standard VCD, 1min=10mb, so if your movie is 85min, the file size will be 850mb, you need not worry about sizes
unless you are doing a non-standard format.

    video 1150bps
    audio 224
    total bps 1374
    79mins *60(seconds)*1374=6512760\1024\8
    795.01mb
if using vbr, actual file size maybe about 5% under estamated size in wizard in final tmpg screen
    ?
