  1. I have a movie file that I downloaded from edonkey. The file is The_Pianist_(2002).CD1.DVDSCREENER.XviD-QiX.ShareReactor.avi. I'm using tmpg to convert it to mpeg. I've installed nimo codec pack which lets me convert it with the audio (if I don't have this encoder installed the audio won't convert with the picture) but after its being converted the picture is partly green. Is there a better codec pack then this? I've tried playing the original file with windows media but the same thing happens (the picture is green and choppy). If anyone can help me you can get in touch with me on my msn list warness@hotmail.com or post a message in the forum.
    Thanks

You're missing a codec, Nimo doesn't include all of them, just the most common. If you download and run Gspot from the Tools section it will analyze your file and tell you what codec is required. Then you need to get the required codec and install it.

  6. I tried installing ffdshow and it doesn't work. Where do I install it?

The Gspot spot program said that I already have the required codecs installed to support the movie. It didn't say that I needed anymore.........

what version of ffdshow did u install ive just looked and i have a newer version than the 1 on that link pm me your e-mail and i'll send it you its only 500k

I think you just install it to the default location, If you install nimo codecs after ffdshow it will mess it up and you have to reinstall it ?
