in dvd decrypter should i select all files or main movie files for encoding

well for encoding the main movie all you should need is the ifo file and all the vob files that contain the movie.

Ok here is what im trying to do i have dvd decryptor, dvd2one and recordnow max the movie is 4.6gig 2 layers
i selected all files and then decoded took 40 mins(sony dru500ax locked at 2x )the dvd i am decoding is tomb raider which files should i have selected for decoding all or some please state
all i really want is the movie .

I have read the guide but i need to know if you select all files in dvd decrypter or just the movie ones it dont tell you in the guide

1. Select Edit->Select All
2. Select where to rip the files, you must have more free space than the size of the main movie, check at the bottom right(a.).
3. Click on the DVD>HD-image to rip.

decrypter automatically selects movie only files.

those are the files you need.

you select all files when you want menus and extras.

so if its a really long movie best just to let it automatticly select movie files only so i will not have to reduce the size so much and get a clearer copy

if you are using dvd2one all you need is be in file mode and dvd decrypter will select the files automatically for you. the files you need is the ifo file and all the vob files which holds the main movie.

The movie is 4.6 if i use the seleted files in decrypter it comes to only 3.7 so do i still need to use dvd2one (its a 2 layer disc)

the whole film will go 2 a dvdr easily without re-encoding... just take the main movie to the drive then use ifo edit to create a new vobset & ifo's (remove unwanted subs & audio). once done get the vts sectors with ifoedit & then burn it
