  1. Converted using tmpgenc from a 23.976fps source, these are some of my setting:-

    Frame rate: 23.976 (29.97)
Rate control mode: 2-pass VBR:- Avg 7500, Max 9000, Min 3000
    Encode mode: 3:2 pull down

    video source: non-interlace (progressive)
    inverce telecine: on (ticked)
    Audio bitrate: 384

What could be causing this problem?

I am quite new to this, i did encode a couple of movies to dvd-r a few months ago, but did have some other problems, such as jerky playback, but this time its just the sound that dissapears for a few seconds.

    Help! Please!

  2. try extracting the audio to wav with VirtualDub, then use the extracted wav as the audio source, that might work...

  3. Thanks Legoman666 but it still does it!
I also changed the Audio to 128 and lowered the video bitrate.

Any more ideas, are the rest of my settings correct?

  4. well, what do you mean that the sound just disappears for a few seconds? is this when ur playing it in ur standalone DVD player, does the DVD work fine on ur computer? if it does, its ur DVD player with compatiblility issues, try using a diff brand of DVD's....
