  1. HeeeeeeeelP!!!

When I parse the video portion of my movie my DVDMaestro crashes with this error message:

    AppName: dvdmaestro.exe AppVer: 2.1.0.0 ModName: mediafile.dll
    ModVer: 2.0.0.0 Offset: 0006593c

Sometimes compiling a not complete move helps me but only sometimes.

Unfortunately this way my DVDMaestro cis very unstable.

    I have a single P4/2,5 GHz w. 256M RAM and XP and DVDMaestro 2915a

    Can anyone help me??

  3. I use DVD Maestro and have not actually seen this problem before.

What is the file that you are parsing ? Is it Audio or Video. What is the exact format ?

Can you load this file and more importantly play it in other applications ?
    Cheers

    I once had this when importing a (re-encoded) .M2V-file.

I re-encoded the video stream again and then it worked.

  5. My files are DVD compliant video files created by TMPGenc (720x576, 25 fps, max. 30 frames in GOP, I/B/P: 1/4/2 struct).
Scenarist accepts them, but this sw. is so complicated....

My initial DVD files were also DVD Video compliant, yet I still had to re-encode them again to solve the problem.

It doesn't matter which soft you used for creating video files, there's always a chance that something can go wrong.

  7. I have a similar problem using spruce up meastro. It gives me a parsing error at 65% of the movie ( GOP out of sequence or something like that ), I do exactly the same with IFOEDIT and it has no problem at all. The point is I can't do the menu and button with IFOEDIT whereas it is much nicer with menus done in Spruce
    any ideas please
    thank

  10. maybe he meant 30 fields
    which is 15 frames

but i confermed the above fix with 3 problematic movies
and i havent seen any thing wrong yet

maybe, but those numbers are "usually" seen with NTSC, and the OP is talking PAL resolutions

  12. No, 15 frames GOP is PAL.

I'm just going based off the MainConcept encoder found in Ulead products, and the Standalone Mpeg encoder. It seems to default the GOP to 12 for PAL, and 15 for NTSC (about a half second of each respectively).

Yes, 15 frame GOP is within PAL parameters, just not sure what the original "30" meant...

  14. I guess it is a setting in TMPG which should have a meaning if one want more than 1 I frames in GOP. In the current situation I think it is not effective as 1/4/2 for I/P/B give exactly 15 frames. But who knows what Maestro thinks about this...
About the frames defaults maybe you are right (I never paid attention about the defaults ), but I wouldn't encode 23.976 fps NTSC with more than 12 frames GOP, because after the pulldown they may become more than 36 fields GOP=trouble.
