OK this is my situation, I have 2 XVID.avi's on my HDD and I want to put them together to make 1 whole film so I loaded up Virtualdub added the 2 files and made 1 long film. Now to burn to a DVD-R I have to convert into MPEG-2 (If I am correct), Now when I load up TMPGEnc-2.510.49.157 and start to encode the whole film I created it freezes after the first 1 second and then if I click on the program I get "Not Resonding"

    Any help please

  6. 1)Try getting your VFAPI's correct...
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/119019.php

    scroll down a lil'bit

    2) is the fourCC of the movie correct?
    try this
start fourCC (its a proggie included with the XVID codec)
    load the movie (...)
now, both fields should be in DIVX
    press aply
    try TMPG again

    3) try frameserving
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/87270.php
    (again, check the VFAPI setts)

You might have bad frames in your XviD, use VirtualDub to check if you have any bad frames.
