I normally capture using MMC 7.7.0.1, i always go for the SVCD template which is the 480x480. I started reading some of the tutorials today on using avi_io or virtualdub to capture. Well i tried them both, i really like what i see while its capturing, but the problem is when i play back what i capture in media player. While its playing back the picture looks really jaggedy while its playing, like whenever a fast motion happens you can see the entire motion of the picture.
THe same thing happens when i use virtualdub too, the only thing i don't like about the mmc capture (8500DV video card) is i always see artifacts when its playing back.
Right now i don't know what to do about capturing anymore, my pc and harddrives are pretty fast (scsi). But somehow the avi capture thing is not working for me and i dont understand why.
When capturing in avi, i always set the following for the file
480x480
29.970
The only program that i have seen that captures well, is video capture for vegas video. But after you capture using that, the picture does not look as sharp, plus it looks a little bit dark. Also i cannot set the video past 320x240 i think.
Can someone give me some advice.
Thanks.
